| A german infantry regiment photo album of approx 80 photo's, mostly combat related with what looks like the invasion of poland with good shots of uniform & equipment, inflatable assault boats, vehicles, anti-tank guns and later some winter scenes and at the end of the album there are a selection of photo's showing womens army auxcilleries manning a outpost somewhere on the Westwall with good uniform photo's, interesting album. |

| A commanding officers citation note for the award of the MM sent to the soldiers mother, together with an attachment report of the action itself, the first is from the 62nd Battlion Machine Gun Corps. B.E.F. dated 4th October 1918 and signed by a Major, it congratulates her on her son Pte. J.C. Russell being awarded the MM and being a credit to the Battalion, signed by hand. The report states that during an action at Vaux Vraucourt he acted as section gunner with great courage and on the evening of the 25th Aug, during an enemy counter attack he repeatedly carried messages under fire to maintain communications during a critical period, this is all headed "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty". These items have been applied to a thick card and at one time framed but the frame has been lost but condition is good. |

| A good period album of 25 photo's, together with two pages from a paybook, appears to have been the album of an officer, as most photo's show various groups of officers, aswell as different locations and daily life for them, the paybook pages have several imperial stamps for the 259th Infantry Regt which may aid research into the locations etc. |

| A large plate photo of a group of 19 Royal Engineer soldiers, in service uniform with their S.M.L.E. rifles and one NCO in the centre, this is a group from the Devonshire Royal Engineers, the photo having been taken sometime during the early part of the first war in front of a unknown statue of a sharpshooter by a park, very good detail of the men, uniforms and equipment, photo is approx 12x9 inches on a large card mount and would have been in a frame, condition is good. |

| A very large and heavy (approx 4kg) photo album, leather bound with "Devonshire Royal Engineers" embossed in gilt to the front, the heavy, gitl edged pages contain many large plate photo's and also smaller ones, taken over a period from 1909 to 1915 and show all aspects of service life in the R.E. each one having beautiful hand written notes, name of the possible owner, a Capt. H.Stone R.E. is inside the cover, there are many large group photo's of officers, NCO's and men throughout, photo's of various exercises around devon during various years, construction of bridges, defences, bunkers, trnches etc, includes mobilisation photo's at different depots & train stations and parades at Plymouth. The photo's run out during 1915, the end of the album unfinished so maybe the owner did not survive that year when he went oversea's. A fantastic album with so much interest and detail, a real window into that period of time. |

| A very good quality photoalbum, with 49 photo's of a Waffen SS Girbergsjager unit, showing scenes of the troops in normal field grey uniform, tropical uniform and wearing the distinctive SS camo smocks & helmet covers, vehicles are also shown in the photo's, good thing about this album is that all photo's are of the men and not the usual soldiers tourist photo's, also photo's of SS mountain troops are pretty rare. |
